I am trying to find an entry level tool kit for being a glazier?
I am taking a new job as an apprentice glazier and need tools start it. Quality is important.
It entirely depends on the type of work being done by the firm you will be working for - but most apprentice programs simply require basic hand tools of good quality. You can add specialty nippers, cutters, lifters, point drivers, etc. if and when they are needed. For the time being you should get a tool belt or box (ask your fellow workers which they use) and fill it with good quality hand tools (Craftsman is good and widely available) including a 16 oz finish hammer, several good quality putty knives, a set of regular and phillips screwdrivers in common sizes, lineman's, slip joint, and needle nose pliers, a couple of adjustable "Crescent" type wrenches, a small 1/4" drive socket set, utlity locking or razor knife, etc. Mostly the things you might already have in your own toolbox.
Again - wait until you see the kind of work you're doing before you invest much, and see what the other tradespeople on your crew have in their belts or boxes. See below links for descriptions of some apprentice programs and a link to some of the specialty tools needed in the trade.
