What is Vans Warped Tour going to be like?
Okay, so I'm going tomorrow to Vans Warped Tour 2009 for the start of the tour in Pomona..
I want to know what it's like:
How many stages?
Autographs?
How long is it?
How are the pits?
Any other details to give me a good picture on what it's going to be like.
There will probably be abour 4 main stages and a few smaller ones for the bands expected to have smaller crowds.
Some bands will announce times when they'll be at their merch tents to sign stuff, or you might get lucky and run into them after your set.
The whole event should run into early evening and each set is 30 minutes long.
Depending on the band and the type of crowd it attracts the pits can range from relatively chill [rarely] to pretty crazy. You always run the risk of getting kicked in the face, but don't worry because there's a medical tent! It's possible to get pretty close without getting moshed to death.
Other details: bring your own water because it's very expensive, as is food. Wear sunscreen. Wear sneakers and an outfit that won't cause you to overheat. There will be a list posted with all the bands, what stages they're playing on and what time, so bring a pen and paper to jot that info down.
