1998 volkswagen golf lighting problem please help?
- just purchased a vw golf 3 days ago when I purchased it al the lights were working fine except my rear turn signals front turn signals work fine on the way back the breaklighs stopped working I replaced the passengerside rear turn signal and It still didn't work I replaced the driverside rear turn signal and know it works . My headlights were also working when I bought the car and know they don't work one will work if u hit it when the lights are one. I think I'm having a fuse problem but all the fuses under the dash are good. Does anyone have any idea what's going on? Also my brake lights all 3 were working know none of them work seems like a fuse but I don't know were its at and my chilton dosent talk anything about the big block fuses above the regular fuses the car came with the premium sound and the 6 disc changer dosent have power to it also. This all just seems like a fuse problem but I can't figure it out please help!
It's not a fuse. Try changing the bulb in the rear that's not working again. You need to see a mechanic, or someone mechanically inclined. It's a simple problem, unless it turns out to be a short or bad ground. No offense, but from your description, you should not be trying to diagnose this issue.
