How are the Callaway X-Forged irons compared to the callaway X-20 tours? This is the first i've seen of these.
I'm still most likely going to get the x-20 tours but would like to hear some thoughts on the X-Forged. Also think I'm going to break down and get the ft-5, 300 isn't too bad to pay.
I like the way that you think. I have just completed a demo on the X Forged and loved them. I hit them pretty good most of the time and when I felt a flaw in my swing as I swung I would hit it bad and could really feel it in the club. I liked them because they will help me to become more consistant with my irons. I also want to try the X-20's tour and normal. That way I can find the best clubs for my game. I absolutely love Callaway. Good call on the driver as well. I have demoed the FT-5 a few times and hit it pretty good. I currently have an FT-3 and like it quite a bit. But for my driver I believe that I am going to go with the FT-I. I tend to hit is jsut as far as the Ft-5 but I hit it more accurately and straighter. I can also work the ball with it more accurately. Good Luck with your decision it is a tough one. Go with whichever club feels best and gives you the best results.
Also if you are looking for a new wedge I suggest the Callaway X. Make sure you get the "Mack Daddy" version though. They are really sweet. I havent been able to get a lot of spin before with any of my wedges and I spin it back about a foot or have it stop on a dime with that about every shot. It even stops out of the sand too.
