Best way to put a shopping cart on a web page?
Hi everyone! What is the best way to put a shopping cart on a web site? Is there an easy way, too?
Also, if I needed to find a contractor to help with a shopping cart/data base, how much am I looking at as far as an hourly/contract rate? Do I pay them up front, 1/2 now 1/2 when finished or all at the end?

Try doing a web search for different Merchant Companies / Sites. You'll probably have to sign up with one which will then give credit card / online payment support. Lots of times they can provide code (php, etc) to do the payment. Even credit cards companies may have a Merchant area for doing web sales.
Also if you don't have a website already, you could look into an open source solution such as OS Commerce which has shopping cart abilities.
