Which Would Be The Best Golf Gift I Could Give To My Dad For Father’s Day?
I dont know anything about golf. And I dont know what is in his golf club set...
But I was thinking of getting my dad 1 wedge or 1 iron club by Callaway.
My dad likes the expensive stuff -- he earns 6 figures. So I want to be sure I get him something nice....I also want to be sure to get him the right thing whether its a golf club or golf accessories
maybe a new driver and tiltest balls

I would stay away from buying him a golf club. If he’s a good golfer who plays regularly he’ll already have the clubs he likes. Sneak a peak into his golf bag and see whether you can figue out what type of ball he uses and get him a dozen of his favourite golf balls.
Another option is a gift certificate to a good quality golf retailer. That way he can get what he wants.

If you are intent on getting him a club, one he needs and probably dosen’t have is a hybrid club, I bought a PING i15 and it has helped me out of the rough a few times!

I got a lot of golf-related gifts over the years, and most got buried away because it’s hard for a non-golfer to buy anything for a golfer.
My advice, buy him a Gift Card/Gift Certificate from the local golf shop or pro shop he frequents – that way he can pick out what he wants.
That way everybody, you and he, will be happy.

If you don’t know what clubs he has then I would not buy him a club. I would get him a golf gps if he does not have one already. SkyGolf makes the best golf gps and you can buy it at any golf store(not golf course).

Seriously, I think what he would love is 18 holes with you. Let him teach you a little about the game, and even if you don’t think you would want to do it regularly, it shows your interest in him and gets you an understanding of what he likes about it. If your dad is anything like me, I’d much rather do things with my sons than receive any material gift.

You can never go wrong with a box (or a couple of boxes) of "tour" level balls- be it Titleists, Nikes, Bridgestones, Taylormades, Callaways, or Srixons. They’re all in the $40+ range.
While it’s awesome you’re thinking of getting him a club, you’d help him better by taking him to a place to get fit for it- not many people benefit from "off the rack" clubs.

How about giving him a coupon or voucher worth One afternoon of honey do lists being done by you so he can go play? I’d love to have my daughter tell me " dad , I’ll do the chores why don’t you go play golf taday" of course if i’m lucky enough to hear that it’ll be years down the road as my girls are still really young . Davids answer struck a chord and really should be explored . I take my 5 yr old to the practice green <it lasts all of 5 minutes > but its good time to share together.

As a lifelong golfer that’s received a lot of junk, or things I’d never use, over the years I would suggest one of two things: either a supply of his favorite brand of golfballs (we can always use balls), or a gift certificate or gift card from his favorite golf shop.
If you try and buy him something specific, like a club, chances are you’ll both be disappointed despite your best intentions.

Since you aren’t exactly sure what he may have for golf accessories already, I’d stick with something that has to do with golf but not necessarily a club or something. Maybe just something golf themed like this – http://stores.jewelryninja.com/-strse-2713/Golf-Key-Ring/Detail.bok
